The Cranbrook Curriculum Plan lists all the units and assessment tasks for the year for every year level.

Report Cards

The following documents will support parents and guardians to understand their child's report card.

Units of Work

Prep - all units of work are 10 weeks in duration

Year 1 - 6 - English and Mathematics are 5 week units

                    Science and HASS are 10 week units



After each unit of work teachers are involved in a process called moderation.  The moderation process involves teachers discussing the qualities demonstrated in student work samples to reach consensus about the standard of the qualities. This process ensures all staff members are assessing at the same standard and there are no inconsistencies between classes.


Prior to reporting student assessment folios are validated against the Australian Curriculum Achievement Standards determine which final achievement grade will be allocated to a folio of work samples.  This process is conduct with 3 other local schools to ensure consistency across schools.
